General Meeting Sat 23rd Feb, Cheltenham

The next General Meeting will be

Saturday 23rd February, 1.45pm for a 2pm prompt start

St Andrews Church, Montpellier Street, Cheltenham, GL50 1SP See map

We do hope members will attend.  We intend to:

  • Update members on how the panels have been operating over the past year
  • Vote on changes to our rules
Since the last meeting the board have been investigating best practice in other renewable energy co-operatives, and talking with Co-operative Futures UK about how to ensure we have a robust and streamlined structure to achieve our aims. The Board now have a proposal for the best way forward, which we hope the members will vote on at the meeting.
  • Discuss the future direction of the Co-op
The policy landscape for renewable energy is fluid, but we are keen to find new opportunities in Gloucestershire for renewable energy projects. We hope to have a positive discussion on the current situation and ideas for the future.

The meeting will finish at 3pm sharp, because members are then invited to attend the ‘Energy we can all afford‘ meeting happening at the same venue, at which our Board member Kevin Frea will be a panellist. More information

We would be grateful if all members could let us know whether or not they will be attending, as we need to ensure we have the majority of the members present to vote on changes to our structure. Please contact us on <info@gloscommunityenergy.coop> and let us know.
