All wired up

Following on from our discovery of squirrels nesting and nibbling under our panels we have taken action to try and stop them coming back.

NBC pest controllers have fixed wire mesh around our entire array.

A big thank you to Mark and Shaun for their hard work attaching the mesh. They had to cut each strip of wire by hand so it would fit snugly onto the corrugated roof. They also had to deal with various challenges including mechanical faults with the cherry picker, and high winds making it hard to manoeuvre the machine close enough to work but not so close that it might damage the panels.

We have our fingers firmly crossed that the mesh will deter our furry squatters from coming back.

Here are the pictures of the work in progress:

Ta-da! The finished result. Let’s hope the squirrels get the message.
